TYR Hurricane Wetsuit Fitting Clinic
The final clinic I was hosting this year before the season began was a TYR Hurricane wetsuit fitting clinic. I often get asked from a lot of triathletes where to get a wetsuit and how to tell if it fits. Since there aren’t very many options to choose from here in Boise and going online to try and buy one with using only their sizing chart can be frustrating and lengthy, I worked with Ryan Dolan from TYR to organize this clinic. Everyone was welcome to try on the different sizes and Hurricane series wetsuits and Loren from TYR and I would make sure it was the proper fit. Purchase was optional but if you did it that night, you would at least make sure you had something in time for the Boise 70.3 in early June. There were just over 25 people that took advantage of this opportunity and many others that wanted to come but had conflicts; maybe we can do it again next year.
TYR also had goggles, swim caps, race kits, training gear, luggage and transition backpacks on site for everyone to be able to try on or look at to get a better idea of what else was available and see in person instead of online. Often times you cannot see this kind of gear unless you go to a big race and then see some of it in their Expo area.
Big thanks to John at George’s Cycles Fairview store for helping to facilitate this clinic, opening up his store and making room for everyone that came to take advantage of the free fitting. Also a huge thanks to Ryan and Loren at TYR for helping make this happen.
